Description: Personal info: Born in Fairbanks, Alaska. Moved to central Ohio in 1998. Moved to the Lehigh Valley 7/2009 to escape the corporate grind, and start my own business back up. I have had my hands on computers since I was 11, and built my first one at age 12 from a kit I purchased in Popular Science magazine (1980). Started my own PC support business in Anchorage, Alaska in 1988. Clients included Anchorage Public Transit Authority, Interpolar Expeditions, North American Van Lines and dozens of local businesses. Accepted a job offer in Columbus, OH with World Financial Network National Bank (WFNNB) in 1998. From 2002-2009 I worked for Limited Brands – Victoria’s Secret corporate headquarters in Reynoldsburg, OH. Both positions involved computer/network support for hundreds of associates internationally. I continued to work on the side doing private PC work as time allowed. My business is run under a very rigid code of personal ethics – I believe in establishing a permanent relationship with my customers. All repair parts are sold at cost, with 100% transparency. My mission is to help the citizens of the Lehigh Valley by providing fast, affordable services of the highest standard. I love what I do; I want to help my customers appreciate and understand technology. Together, we can create a better community through green initiatives and dependable contacts. My Services include: Computer Repair/Diagnostics, Upgrades, Wireless Networking, Data Recovery, Custom PC Builds, Graphic Design, DVD Authoring, 3D Modeling, Service Contracts, Free EPA-approved disposal of broken equipment, …plus much more. If you have an idea, I will help make it happen.

About think INDEPENDENT

Did you know that for every dollar spent, three times as much of that dollar stays in the Lehigh Valley when it's spent at a local, independent shop or organization as opposed to a chain?

SBN's think INDEPENDENT campaign is designed to engage Lehigh Valley residents in a conversation about where and with whom they shop--to raise as a priority the idea of supporting locally owned, independent businesses in their communities. By celebrating what's local, we build a strong regional economy that keeps our dollars circulating here. By supporting our neighbors who are working hard to build a vibrant Valley, we build community connections. And, perhaps best of all, we encourage what's special and unique about the Lehigh Valley.

Think INDEPENDENT kicked off in 2008 with several events designed to engage Lehigh Valley residents in this discussion. The think INDEPENDENT poster campaign was designed to introduce local business owners and their businesses to Lehigh Valley residents (see examples above). In 2009, we began our INDEPENDENT thinkers campaign (Right; click for larger image). This campaign focuses on the consumer -- the folks who walk the talk, by supporting local, independent businesses. The INDEPENDENT thinkers postcard can be found throughout the Lehigh Valley.

The Lehigh Valley has a wealth of independent, locally owned businesses--from hardware and health food stores to boutiques, breweries, and movie theaters. It's time to reframe the conversation about why where we spend our dollars matters.

If you're a Lehigh Valley resident, we hope you'll give local, independent businesses the first chance to serve your needs. If you're the owner of a local business, we hope you'll join our campaign. Please contact Troy Reynard of Cosmic Cup Coffee Co. attroy@cosmiccupcoffee.com to get involved.
